The main job of an acolyte is to light the candles before church. Children over the age of 6 who are comfortable lighting candles are eligible to be acolytes. Parents are welcome to contact any member of the Christian Education and Worship Committee to have their children added to the acolyte schedule.
Each worship service has two ushers. These people welcome visitors and pass out bulletins before the service, and collect the offering during the service. We ask that ushers arrive 10-15 minutes early to be able to greet everyone before worship begins.
Liturgists (worship leaders) open and lead the first half of each worship service.
On Sundays when The Lord's Supper is celebrated, four elders help to serve the elements.
If you have a desire to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord," there are opportunities for you to share your musical talents. Our church choir always has an extra chair, and no auditions are necessary to join. If you have a solo talent or play an instrument, we would love to hear you perform during a worship service.
